2012 AQG Spring Quilt Show is Coming Closer - May 19&20, 2012
The planning for the 2012 Spring AQG Quilt Show "Life in the Adirondacks" is well under way. The show will take place on May 19&20, 2012 at Holy Family School, 12 Homestead Park, Malone, NY 12953. The show is open to the public from 9AM to 5PM on both days of the show. We anticipate having over 200 quilts and quilted items all made by members of the Adirondack Quilters Guild on display, along with an extensive Vendors Mall, quilt raffle, fat quarter raffle, door prizes, quilting demonstrations, and a special book signing event with reknowned quilter and author Marlous Carter. The public will have an opportunity to cast a vote for the 'Viewer's Choice Award" from among the show entries. Regional Quilt Guilds, media outlets and area dignitaries will be invited to participate in our show by selecting a show entry to receive a "Guild Choice Award," Media Choice Award" or "Special Choice Award." A ribbon for each of these special awards will be provided by AQG to the designated representative(s) of each of these groups who are invited to participate in this part of the show. Admission is a $5 donation which will be accepted at the door, with all proceeds from the show being shared with the Franklin County Down Syndrome Society. Ample and free parking is available in the school parking lot adjacent to the school.

TIckets for this raffle are $1 each or six for $5 and are available from any AQG member and at the Quilt Raffle display at the show. Proceeds from this raffle will also be shared with the Franklin County Down Syndrome Society.
This AQG show will once again be judged by a professional NQA Quilt Show Judge. Judging of the quilts will take place on May 5, 2012 at St Marks Episcopal Hall located on Elm St, Malone. Judging is NOT open to the public. However, all award winning quilts will bear a ribbon displayed at the show.
The Rules and Judging Committee has completed revision of the Rules and Entry Form for the 2012 show and contest/judging. A copy of these rules has been emailed to all AQG members (or mailed to those members without email capability).
