DATE CHANGE FOR JULY GUILD MEETING - July 10, 2012

Our regular monthly business meeting date has been changed to July 10, 2012  beginning at 6:30PM - 8:45 PM. The only item on the agenda, thus far, for that meeting is nomination of Guild Executive Board officers for the next year (commencing September 2012- with election of officers taking place at the August meeting). After that bit of business, we plan to have a fun-filled night of  summer desserts, QUILTO games and a teacup auction, along with our usual session of AQG members' Show-n-tell.

So, plan to come to the July 10th meeting and bring along a dish of your favorite summertime dessert to share with everyone else. Don't eat too much dinner before the meeting so that you will have lots of room to sample all of the wonderful desserts that our quilters make for the evening!

Once the Executive Board nominations are out of the way, we will have our members' Show-n-Tell to show off their latest quilt creations.

We will also have a teacup auction, so now is the time to clean out your sewing room and bring along any new or like-new sewing or quilting related items (fabric, patterns, pattern books, quilting magazines (no pages missing, please!!!), quilt tools and notions and small quilted items that you no longer want or use to place on the auction table. All items are donated to the guild and proceeds will be deposited into the guild treasury. We'll have lots of time to peruse the auction goodies while we munch our sweet treats. Our treasurer, TIna Kingsley , will be on hand to sell chances for the teacup auction (25cente each or five for $1). You place your 'bid' tickets in the teacup that corresponds to the auction item(s)  that you wish to win. You can 'bid' on as many items as you wan, and can 'bid' for any item as many times as you want. WInning 'bid' will be drawn from the teacup for each item.

After the teacup auction, we plan to have several rousing games of Q-U-I-L-T-O, quilters' bingo. Each QUILTO card for each game costs one fat quarter (18" X 22" 100% cotton quilting fabric) . You can buy as many cards for each game as you have fat quarters. WInner of each game wins all of the fat quarters paid for cards for that game. (Disclaimer....Shiela, we reserve the right to limit the number of QUILTO cards you buy and/or win :)

We plan to have a wonderful evening of eating, visiting and winning wonderful quiltint prizes. Come along and enjoy the fun!
